Consumer Insights Intern

Interested in what motivates consumer behavior? Lawrence & Schiller has an opening for an intern with our Consumer Insights team. Our CI team uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand how consumers feel about brands to build new, effective strategies for our clients’ marketing campaigns.

As a CI intern, your work will include monitoring competitor advertising and gathering insights to help our teams build stronger marketing campaigns. You’ll have the opportunity to assist in research for clients in health care, quick service restaurants, gaming and entertainment, and more.

Working side-by-side with experienced team members, this role provides first-hand experience gathering competitive intelligence, monitoring competitor campaign performance, and assisting in analyzing results from both qualitative and quantitative studies.



Chief responsibilities include maintaining insights and information on client competitors, finding supporting secondary research for campaign development and coordinating research projects for a variety of clients.

Duties may vary over time; however, typical responsibilities would include:

  • Research and maintain information on clients’ marketing competitors and industry trends for clients
  • Utilize secondary research methods and sources to find supporting insights and direction for marketing campaigns
  • Assist in coordinating research projects in the regional area
  • Assist in reporting research findings to clients in a way to drives campaign strategy

Additional Duties as Assigned



Consumer Insights team members need to be organized, determined and resourceful. Strong communication skills and writing skills preferred. Previous experience conducting secondary research or primary research related to surveys, focus groups or qualitative interviews are a plus.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
