At L&S, we win together when we work together. And that winning just got a little easier with a few new faces (and some new titles) around the office. Congratulations to these new team members and the ones climbing even higher – we’re glad you’re here!
New Peeps
Justin Carlson
DESIGNER
With a flair for illustration, Justin joins us with three years of experience working on everything from tees and merch to blogs and branding. His unique skills are already making an impact on work for the South Dakota Lottery, Compass and more. And while we like to roll the welcome wagon out for new hires, he’s actually done the same for us by setting up a pretty impressive fruit basket at his desk.
Gayle Hansen
DESIGNER
A recent graduate of South Dakota State University, Gayle joined our team in January (and gave us all personalized Valentine’s cards this February – how cool are they?!). Gayle was formerly the student manager at SDSU’s BluePrint Design Center, so balancing projects for the SD Department of Social Services, First PREMIER Bank and Our Dakota Dreams is no sweat.
Katie Jansen
MEDIA COORDINATOR
As a media coordinator, Katie helps our team plan, organize and place media campaigns for clients like Pizza Ranch and the South Dakota Lottery. Katie joins us from the University of South Dakota where she was Vice President of Recruitment for her sorority and graduated with a degree in strategic communications.
Cassi Severson
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
With a decade of experience in higher education and the nonprofit world, Cassi’s a perfect fit at L&S, especially considering the work she’s now leading with the SD Department of Social Services and Avoid Opioid. With a few months under her belt, Cassi says she loves how her role at L&S challenges her to be better every day.
Carol Yusten
FINANCIAL ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST
Not only is Carol a fresh face at L&S – she’s the first face most people see when they walk in. With a long career in administration and finance work, Carol’s been invaluable to helping L&S clients and guests feel right at home, right from the start. Carol grew up on a farm with her mom and seven siblings, so we love that she’s no stranger to wrangling details and running a tight ship.
New Promotions
Matt Sebert
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Since Matt’s first day at L&S six years ago, he’s steadily taken on more responsibility, bigger creative shots and new hobbies – like baking sourdough. Bread jokes aside, Matt’s been rising to every challenge we’ve thrown at him (okay, that’s the last one). We’re proud of Matt’s promotion to Creative Director where’ he’ll continue to lend his talent and strategic thinking to clients like Dakota State University, Medora and Duluth.
