As CEO, Micah Aberson brings a wealth of marketing, business and leadership experience to L&S (along with a fair amount of whistling). With degrees from Augustana University and the University of Sioux Falls, Micah started his career at L&S. After leaving the agency in 2015, Micah worked in President, EVP and CMO roles, gaining diverse knowledge and experience with companies like Sanford Health, Mammoth Sports Construction and Cambria, the Minnesota-based countertop manufacturer. Today, he helps lead and push our team, spearheading agency growth and innovation through positive, inclusive leadership. Outside of L&S, Micah’s been honored as Hope Giver of the Year with Samaritans Feet International, one of Prairie’s Business Magazine’s 20 under 40 Future Leaders and a recipient of Augustana University’s Horizon Award for alumni achievement. He’s also served on boards for the Denny Sanford Foundation, Sanford International PGA Champions Event, Augustana University, Sioux Falls YMCA and First Lutheran Church among others.

Laura is an experienced leader and mentor who constantly pushes to keep L&S on the forefront of innovation. As President and COO, Laura oversees day-to-day agency operations, ensuring we maximize our people, processes and products for client growth. Laura’s also a travel and tourism expert with nearly two decades of experience, leading strategic initiatives for clients like Travel South Dakota, Montana and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Outside of L&S, Laura serves on the board of the Sioux Falls Zoo & Aquarium, has co-chaired the Sioux Falls Chamber Community Appeals Campaign, and is a member of the O’Gorman School Board and Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Board. In her free time (who are we kidding, what free time?) Laura likes to curl up with a good book and bad jokes. She earned her BS in Journalism and Advertising from South Dakota State University and is a frequent guest lecturer on campus.

Jamie is driven, detail oriented and wholly dedicated to our clients’ success. Jamie leads our account service team, managing multimillion dollar marketing strategies, overseeing project management processes, fostering relationships and ensuring our clients are successful and satisfied. Her strategic experience spans multiple industries, from retail and lottery marketing to foodservice, education and healthcare. Jamie’s passion for service extends outside the office, too. She currently sits on boards for the Sioux Empire United Way and Sioux Falls Sales & Marketing Executives (SME), with prior experience on boards for South Dakota’s American Advertising Federation Chapter and the Sioux Falls YoungProfessionals Network. Jamie was selected as an SME Rising in Excellence nominee as well as a nominee for EmBe’s Women of Excellence awards.

Ryan uses his deep expertise to guide our firm’s financial vision, ensuring growth, stability and efficiency across agency teams and clients. Ryan plays a key role in developing pricing models and policies, along with navigating staffing, resource planning and general agency operations. Aside from the numbers, he’s just as great with people. Ryan’s laidback approach makes him a natural collaborator with staff and clients when it comes to finance questions or billing plans. He’s also passionate about professional development, contributing to HR and training opportunities across the agency. In addition to 15+ years of experience, Ryan holds a BA in business administration and accounting from Augustana University, is a graduate of Leadership South Dakota and volunteers with the American Heart Association.

Kristy is a seasoned copywriter and creative director with nearly 20 years of experience creating strategic, award-winning campaigns. As the agency’s Chief Creative Officer, Kristy leads creative strategy, professional development and innovation for our 20-person team of writers, designers, editors and cinematographers. The best part of her day is seeing their talent at work. Outside of L&S, Kristy’s passionate about nurturing great work and young talent. She serves as a judge for the American Advertising Awards, Telly Awards and the Effie Awards; mentors elementary school students through the TeamMates program; serves as board president for Mosaic Arts & Events; and teaches as an adjunct instructor at South Dakota State University.
